Background information
The Bismarck was the largest and best -known slaughter ship of the German Navy in World War II. With over 50,000 tons of displacement, massive armament and technical superiority, it became the symbol of German naval power. Her first and only operational trip, the Operation Rhine Exercise, ended dramatically after the British battle cruiser Hood. The Bismarck was maneuverable by the Royal Navy after an air tarto hit and finally sunk by its own crew. Her fate is still fascinating model builders and historians - this makes them one of the most important ships in the naval history.
