CONTENTS OF THE INDIAN GIRL CANOE WOODEN MODEL SHIP KIT
Build the 1:16 wooden scale model of The Indian Girl Canoe, a well-known boat that frequently appeared in films that speak about North American Indian people. It is a beautiful model suitable for beginner modellers.
The naval modelling kit with the model contains all the parts you need to build the faithful miniature replica. It is made of six wooden sheets with different thicknesses cut by high precision laser to extract the parts without any problem (plywood and hardwood), and a brass photo-etched sheet for decorative details. In addition, it comes with linden and cherry wood strips, a round tube and rod in brass, cotton threads in different thicknesses and colours - black and ecru - and fabric for the seats. As a bonus gift, a wooden exhibition base is to be assembled with the nameplate of the boat.
For its assembly, you have our complete step-by-step video instructions, as if it were a masterclass taught by our modellers. It does not come with printed instructions. The kit includes a printed double-sided plan of the finished boat and the parts list with pictograms to facilitate its identification during the construction of the model. Once built, the model measures 12.04'' (306 mm) in length, 2.32'' (59 mm) in height and 1.57'' (40 mm) in width.

HISTORY OF THE INDIAN GIRL CANOE: THE RECREATIONAL BOAT IN THE USA
Discover The Indian Girl Canoe, the new model for 2024 and made of wood of the typical boat of Western and American Indian films.
The Indian canoe was designed by J.H. Rushton, America's leading canoe builder, for the burgeoning pleasure paddler market, which introduced the Indian Girl model in 1902. To quote Mr. Rushton: "The Indian Girl is strong, light, safe yet fast, graceful yet seaworthy." This design from the beginning of the last century lives up to its name.
It is interesting to know that Rushton hired M. Roundry services from the B.N. Morris Canoe Company in Maine to build the Indian Girl. Roundry had the expertise to build quality wood and canvas canoes that Rushton did not. In the 1910s and 1920s, the Indian Girl model became extremely popular and became Rushton's best-selling canoe.
